The local water/amusement park had a "borderline riot" this afternoon.

OK, that's one incident, and at a park in a sketch area of town at that. But it isn't the only incident in the region in the past week.

So what gives? This is starting to make Chuck E Cheese look kid-friendly.

This guy brought a gun when his kids didn't get any cake and ice cream at a birthday party.

Hot weather + unsupervised teenagers/young adults + lax security = incident waiting to happen

I glanced at that and read "hot unsupervised teenagers/young adults" and thought this was turning into a Poin thread.

And Alabama Adventure had 10 buck admission before 10 a.m. today... think that had something to do with it? It was Fox6's standup/advertorial this morning....

That special is every Monday. Attracts such a winning crowd too.

I had a season pass to a waterpark as a teenager in Phoenix. Worked at the same park for less than minimum wage as well. Got cold-cocked in the wave pool after I bumped into someone else. Good times hanging out with the dregs of Arizona.

Not a fan of amusement parks, either water or the theme park kind. Overpriced, usually way too hot, plus at least half (usually way more) the attendees are straight out of Deliverance or Cousin Eddie's mobile home.

Disney's the only exception, but even there I have to break the 401(k) just to take the family.
