What's with all the 378s?

    So I'm watching Casino Royale and I noticed the number 378 shows up all over the place. Three different license plates, including the Aston Martin, and their room at the hotel is No. 378.

    So what gives? What significance does that number hold?

    Yes, in the Battle of Adrianople in the year 378, a large Roman army led by Emperor Valens is defeated by the Visigoths in present-day Turkey.

    Richie Valens was a very distant relative and Ian Fleming loved the song La Bamba.

    So there.

    I have two of those numbers in my phone number. And if you subtract the sixth number from the seventh, the third one is in place.
