Was that this year? I definitely liked that film. Didn't expect to.

Saw it again, and confirmed it for myself that Synecdoche, New York is the best film of the year.

After reading praise of Tropic Thunder on this board, I watched it at home on PPV and was thoroughly entertained. Even thought the immensely untalented yet amazingly annoying Jack Black was great in it. Thanks to all for the tip.

Saw "Slumdog Millionaire," the best for me since "Ray."

Yeah, I'm a little picky and I don't get out much like many of you. Sorry.

  7. I saw Slumdog last night and was very impressed, heck of a film. Hard to leave without having an uplifited spirit.

2008 was a good year for Black...he was great in Kung Fu Panda and Be Kind Rewind as well.

And I'm hearing very good things about The Year One, which comes out in June and is in post-production.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button works for me, the best movie I have seen ... in quite a while. Certainly crushes The Dark Knight.
