What's the best movie you've seen this year?

BH: That's the best comparison I ever try to make with Clooney. He's Clark Gable, redux.

Clooney is a very good actor, but he takes roles that he can't pull off.

Michael Clayton, Syriana, Good Night and Good Luck were all brilliant.

For a guy who is supposed to be such a heartthrob, he's pretty bad at romantic comedies. I think the Oceans movies are about as far as he can go as a comic actor.

I thought he was good in One Fine Day.

How long ago was that? 10-12 years?

I think the best movie I've seen this year will be today, when I finally get to Slumdog Millionaire and Changeling. (Stupid early deadlines for weather kept messing with my attempts to get to the theater). Yea me!

Two great films. Just run out of Slumdog before the closing credits start. It's the worst part of the film.

Changeling is amazing. Jolie has a scene in it that should lock up the best actress Oscar.

I disagree about the closing credits. While I'll give you the fact that it doesn't fit the mood of the rest of the movie, I enjoyed it. It was better than just credits rolling down the screen.

He was hilarious in Oh, Brother.

And I liked Burn After Reading. It doesn't crack the Coen Bros.' top five, but it was better than 90 percent of the dreck Hollywood puts out there every Friday.

I just thought it was a very strange way to end a very good film.

    Did anyone love Tropic Thunder?

We're snowed in and were thinking of renting it off PPV tonight.

I'll give you that, and I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. Also, I found the female lead very attractive so I didn't mind seeing her on screen for a little longer.

    I'll say yes, luggy.
