Eternal Sunshine, Almost Famous, No Country for Old Men, Once and a bunch of others that have already been mentioned.

2007 was by far the best year for movies, and one of the best years in a long time with No Country for Old Men, There Will be Blood, Zodiac, Once, Michael Clayton, Gone Baby Gone, Juno, Ratatouille, etc.

My pick for most underrated comes from 2007, Into the Wild.

And 93, I don't understand how King Kong could be under-appreciated. That's by far the worst movie I saw in theaters this decade. Very few redeemable qualities.

I thought the cgi for the fight scenes was amazing. It followed the original story pretty well, and I liked Leto and Watts.

Not too much love for the Lord of the Rings so far.

The decade has been very kind to a few people. Hard to believe that it only takes a few guys to create some of the most memorable films of the decade (Eternal Sunshine, Dark Knight, etc.):

    Coen Brothers:
    A Serious Man (2009)
    Burn After Reading (2008)
No Country for Old Men (2007)
    Intolerable Cruelty (2003)
The Man Who Wasn't There (2001)
O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000)

    Charlie Kaufman:
    Synecdoche, New York (2008)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
    Adaptation. (2002)
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002)

    Christopher Nolan:
    The Dark Knight (2008)
    The Prestige (2006)
    Batman Begins (2005)
    Memento (2000)

The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford - In my mind, it's probably one of the few masterpieces to come out of this decade. Definitely one of the finest westerns of all time.
