What's the best movie you saw this decade?

I want to say Gran Torino or The Hangover, but I'm sure those are knee-jerk reactions since they are the best of what I've watched recently.

    Others candidates:
    No Country for Old Men
    The Departed
    Dark Knight
    The Life of David Gale
    O Brother Where Art Thou

The first Lord of the Rings movie blew me away. As a lifelong fan of the books, I was all set up to be disappointed, but it actually lived up to my expectations.

There Will Be Blood and Almost Famous. Near dead tie.

    The Departed was pretty good.

I know Sleepaway Camp was an 80s movie, but I didn't see it until 2009. :D

There were two movies I saw twice in the theatre this decade because I enjoyed them so much:
Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and The Hangover

Movies that made me say, "damn that was good.":
    The Black Knight
    Memento
The Boondock Saints (technically released in late 1999, I saw it much later)
    Almost Famous
    The Bourne movies

Movies that made me sit back and think:
United 93 (done with several of the actual people involved)
    Gone Baby Gone

The most underapprecited film for me is King Kong. Much, much better than it is given credit for.

If. Million Dollar Baby was 1:47 it would be in contention.

Another great one that too easily is overlooked: American Splendor.

    The Sixth Sense?

    Also 1999.

Sounds like 1999 was a good year for you, though.

God, I thought Igby Goes Down was much older than 7 years. Though I did love it.
