Why would you publish an outdoors column or page on Saturday, when anyone who might read it most likely will be outside fishing, hunting or doing something? Those nuts get up at the crack of dawn and stay gone for hours.

Why not run it Thursday or Wednesday or Tuesday so they can plan for the weekend, or on Sunday if possible when more people read the section?

As for agate, how much do you have? Full page? Half a page? Do you publish a little bit and refer readers to the Internet for more box scores or standings or full-field golf scores?
