College football had ties. That's all you need to know about the guys who designed college football's rules.

You might want to check out pro football's history.

God, I hate that. Let the officials on the field make the calls and keep playing. Two challenges per game and no damn booth reviews.

I was going to say, you can't watch Alabama and LSU year after year and tell me there's no defense in college football. Notre Dame's defense has been fantastic this season, as has Georgia's.

All depends on who you're watching.

If you're rebuilding a program, it's easier to look like you're making progress if you're good on offense -- fans are more into it, recruits want to visit, alums will give money because it's "exciting" and so more and more offensive assistants keep getting jobs. It compounds.

Of all the days I would pull out that argument...

    Touche, everybody.

Georgia's defense has not been fantastic this year, with the exception of the second half vs. Florida (the shutout of Auburn doesn't count).

Been saying for years the college rule (and even the high school rule) of stopping the clock to "move the chains" is outdated. Do it only in the last two minutes of each half if you want to keep it. I'm good with one foot in bounds for a catch.

The forward pass ruined the game.
