I don\'t think that rules a three-way tie out. I think the current Jeopardy! people would not regard anything that happened on the old Jeopardy! with Art Fleming as part of the history of the current show.

This better be good! The most anticipated episode of Jeopardy ever.

Look at the URL to that link above -- I'm no cryptologist, but it sure seems like the "3wt" at the end refers to a "3-way tie"

Great call! Note the extension on their other news releases are descriptive of the story, too:

I think Baltimore Guy nailed it. 3-way tie.

Unless it's a misdirect to make people think it's a three-way tie, when in fact it's one of the contestants popping out of her top like that one woman on The Price is Right.

Not to be argumentative but I'm willing to bet the episode where Ken Jennings finally lost might have been more anticipated. I think AP even did a short brief on it.

One of the dudes was in a crossword puzzle contest with Ken Jennings not too long ago. Ken finished 28th and this guy finished like 33rd or something.

But Gold's post said it happened early in the Trebek era. He just threw the Fleming reference in for those who might not understand there was another era.

Actually, it was the other way around, LJB.

And this guy needs to lose. Annoying, to say the least.

    OK. Stupid question (spoiler type):

How the fuck do you end up with a 3-way tie in positive dollars? What could the Final Jeopardy betting possibly be like?
