That makes perfect sense. But your original post implied that you thought you should put the talk about not eating in your story ...which you absolutely should not have and apparently didn't.

The bigger picture will be difficult to do, but might be worth a try.

How much of a star is this player? And if you're trying to write about the big picture, don't bury it in a gamer.

The diet issue is too complex to gloss over using one source if you're trying to lede with it.

I would have had asked the girl in question.

You mean the girl who was wrapped in blankets on the sideline and being tended to by paramedics, with the ambulance on the way?
That the one you would have asked?

Yeah, it doesn't seem like that was an option at all.

I don't think he was being serious. At least I hope. Fuck, guys, sarcasm? It's just not for blue font, you know.

Surely there was room for you in the back of the ambulance. You had a press pass, didn't you? /stupidlackofabluefont

Honestly, I didn't read it as sarcasm. Maybe my radar's on the fritz.

    Mine, too.

Thought maybe Harley hadn't read the entire thread.

So we're gonna judge people based on the fact they ask for help?

Methinks Harley's sense of humor is getting on the fritz. His wife sure as hell thinks so.

Honestly, though, if it were me, and I knew who the kid's parents were, I might have spoken with them. Other than that, no, just the facts, Ma'am.

I misread your original post too. We had a similar situation happen recently where an athlete collapsed, but my colleague was able to call the parents a few hours later, and they told him she was fine.
