On the day I was born, No. 1 in America was "Grease," by Frankie Valli, to be knocked off two days later by A Taste of Honey's immortal "Boogie Oogie Oogie."
When I graduated high school, the nation was rocking out to "MmmBop," by Hanson. (They're back, right?)
And on the day I wed my dear Mrs. Irish, Usher was "Burn"ing up the charts. On the heels of a 12-week run with "Yeah!" All told that year, Usher had a hand in the top single in 28 out of 52 weeks. What a man.

Birth: "Alone Again (Naturally)" by Gilbert O'Sullivan. How's that for being born under a bad sign?

High School graduation: "Vogue" by Madonna

College graduation: "This is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan

Man, that would make one crappy jukebox.
