What the hell was that in the sky?

    The wife saw what she thought was a ball lightning blast way up above the desert sky here in SoCal at about 7:30 tonight -- and now, news reports say it most likely was a meteorite, seen by people from Malibu to Phoenix.

    Moving west to east suggests it was a meteor.
