AP's Tom Withers tweeted that the Indians pressbox shook for about 30 seconds.

That thing rattled the shit out of my house, which doesn't need much rattling to begin with. Wow.

Scared the shit out of us in Annapolis. The whole apartment shook like crazy. Thought it was a bomb at first. Never felt anything like that. Seconds felt like days, especially with a five-day-old infant.

I never experienced an earthquake, but my legs are shaking very oddly here in Michigan...

Never felt it, unlike the one last June.

I've been in quite a few over the years. Anything over 5.0 is substantial, even in California. If you haven't been in one before, a 5.8 would scare the shit out of you...

Heard a ceiling collapsed at your Safeway over there.

I didn't mind the rumble for a second or two. Then started to get a tad antsy. Looked to see if a truck was in my front yard. When that wasn't it...

Not a bad idea if you are within, say, 150 miles or so to just go outside and check around. Foundation cracks. Gas/water line breaks. Probably fine, but always good to check. And with a 6.0 in this area, you'll probably experience a few lighter aftershocks.
