Cat 1, not F1. The Saffir-Simpson scale for hurricanes goes by Categories (Katrina was a category 5 at its peak, but either a Cat 4 or 3 by the time it hit populated land). Tornadoes are sometimes measured as "F1" through "F5" using the Fujita scale, which is since been updated, so now, under the Enhanced Fujita scale, you'll hear tornadoes ranked EF1 through EF5, a slightly modified label.

But hey, you must live in New York. You don't get these things often, so you're forgiven.
