    I'll echo the books suggestions. Can't go wrong with a bedtime story book or something like that.

    That said, I got my oldest friend's son his own personalized Louisville Slugger on his first birthday. My own niece got a glove. They'd both gotten books when they were born.

    I am *THIS* close to buying that shirt for my 8-month olds (boy is being raised as Pirate fan, 2 girls as Yankees).

    However, the spouse says she will never permit it to touch their skin.

    How are the triplets these days?


    And if Kaylee knows as little about babies as he claims, I don't think the "offer to babysit" idea is a good one... we want the baby to see its second birthday. :)
