What Should I Get My Wife For Xmas?

Your advice about first anniversary gifts worked like a charm for me, so here's an idea for Xmas. At least, this is what my wife asked for...a diamond necklace with a stone matching her wedding ring. In our case, I believe it's emerald cut, whatever the hell that means.

    Hope that helps.

IJAG has schooled me plenty on opals since I said that, but I just couldn't find anything good that I thought she would wear every day. I did get her jewelry, though.

This thread is proof positive that I am the luckiest guy in the world.

My girlfriend would rather have Cubs playoff tickets than jewelry. So that's what I got her. :D

    Anyway, good luck, Pete!

Yea, buying a woman really depends on the woman. Given that I rarely wear more than a pendant I made for myself, buying it for me would just mean that you didn't know me very well.

You should buy her the Cubs. I know her, and I think she would be impressed by that.

If she's one of the many women who have a poor body image as a result of giving birth, buy her some hot lingerie to let her know that you still find her hot and sexy.

Australian opals are gorgeous.. and so are fire opals, which are orange clear stones.. I have a ring and some earrings in the latter. I love them. They look like orange sapphires, but the color is deeper...

Exactly. A gift certificate to Frederick's is the right gift anytime of the year.

Pete - don't forget to let us know what you bought her.
