We're already trying a feeding schedule — and failing. This kid eats like me.

We do bath her the same time every other day, though. She's starting to dig bath time. She better love water, 'cause the in-laws have a cottage on a lake.

We've got the Jolly Jumper. That was a must.

Add cash, and you've got adults' primary needs.

Sounds like you're on the right track, Pete.

And if it seems overwhelming at times, well, that's part of the experience, too.

At six weeks and again at six months, you will experience moments of clarity. After that, your confidence will grow.

But you sound like you're off to a great start.

    Pete,
Bath time is fabulous for a lot of reasons, not the least of which it calms them down.

We have twins so when they were toddlers they'd have their baths together.

Then their older (2 1/2 years older) brother would come in and start dumping water all over them

After bath it was always story time

The schedule was pretty much cast in stone.

Out of the three, two would stay in the Jolly Jumper forever. The third just got pissed off.

And don't worry about the feeding schedule. If she's hungry, she'll eat. If not, she'll wake you up later.

    Man, I remember those days.

    Enjoy them.

I have to pee. Not currently, but at some point.

(also the second time today I've posted about peeing. God help me.)

I figured "shitting" covered all the human-waste category.

Though peeing, after a prolonged forced period of not peeing, can also bring warmth.

I was going to alert the media, but it occurs to me that you just did.

How come nobody has thought to answer the question with some Talking Heads lyrics?

    Mommy had
    A little baby.
    There he is
    Fast asleep.
    He's just
    A little plaything.
    Why not
    Wake him up?
    Cute, cute
    Little baby.
    Little feet-feet
    Little toes.
    Now he's
    Comin' to me.
    Crawl across
    The kitchen floor.

Baby, baby, please let me hold him
I wanna make him stay up all night
Sister, sister, he's just a plaything
We wanna make him stay up all night
    Yeah we do

    See him drink
    From a bottle
    See him eat
    From a plate
    Cute, cute
    As a button.
    Don't you wanna make him
    Stay up late.
    And were having fun
    With no money.
    Little smile
    On his face.
    Dont cha love
    The little baby?
Don't you want to make him
    Stay up late?

    Chorus

Here we go (all night long)
    Sister, sister (all night long)
    In the playpen...woo...(all night long)
Little baby goes, ha! (all night long)
I know you want to leave me...

    Why don't
    We pretend?
    There you go
    Little man
    Cute. cute
    Why not?
    Late at night
    Wake him up.

    Chorus

Here we go (all night long)
    Sister, sister...woo...
    (with the television on)
Little baby goes...woo! (all night long)
Hey, hey, baby! (all night long)
And he looks so cute (all night long)
In his little red suit (all night long)

And learn the lyrics to the greatest lullaby ever:

And if you don't like Anne Murray, there's alway the Eminem version. :)

Didn't Earl Butz get fired for saying something like this?
