But Obama's ads will bring that back into the public eye.

Maybe they can show that he actually has some depth as a politician, never mind the breadth.

Because we're not voting to re-elect Bush. If we were, I would be voting for Obama.

Calling your wife a c*unt in public, voting against forcing insurance companies that cover Viagra to also cover birth control, actions speak loudly, whether you want to listen or not.

Dooley, therein lies the difference in political philosophies.

I believe the government that is closest to the people is the most accountable. My pothole gets taken care of by the street department of my municipality. Family assistance at the local or state level better assesses needs than a bureaucratic elephant in Washington.

Where would you rather be starving, Maryland or Mississippi? And I don't think I'd trust either state to have the resources to be sure food doesn't come into the state tainted.

Hence the need for a strong federal government, which no doubt could use some degree of trimming and retooling.

I disagree. A state can handle those issues.

The longer the trail to the money, the more hands in the pockets.

I would trust my local police to handle a disaster than FEMA. And if those FEMA funds were reallocated to the states, I definitely think they'd do it better.

Is that the first wife or the second wife, SC?

The second one. The one who bankrolled his career in public office and made his run for president possible.

Still doesn't mean the feds can do it any better. By the way, I know where you can get a hell of a deal on poisoned FEMA house trailers.

And there's no way in hell that your local public servants have their fat fingers in any pies, right?

The Republican Party needs to pack up shop and take its broken ideas to the local, most formative grassroots level, and see if they actually work there. To try, try again. Because these are simply not functional on the federal level.
