Actually I think fans in almost every state of the union have no idea who Alabama's AD is (or was, in this case).

And yes, Byrne is a solid hire. Tough offseason for Arizona, their top recruits and their AD getting poached. With Byrne leaving RichRod's doomsday clock just moved another couple minutes closer to midnight.

 

I saw that Alabama hired a new AD and figured the previous one retired.

 

Bama already did it's football sacrifice. He's house shopping in Boca.

 

Battle made a tremendous impact in Sports Licensing prior to coming to Alabama.
