saw this on a local blog ...

36 have been accused of spousal abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
19 have been accused of writing bad checks
117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
3 have done time for assault
71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
21 currently are defendants in lawsuits
84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

    It's not a professional sport.
It's stats from the members of Congress.
And Arlen Specter thinks the NFL needs to be investigated.

84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the past year? Talk about your poster children for Prohibition.

Is that eighty-four members or eighty-four drunk driving arrests? If it's the latter I'd venture that Ted Kennedy accounts for about half.

I'd expect nothing less now that the democrats have re-claimed Congress. :D

Did I mistakenly log on to the 1999 version of SJ?

I bet the numbers for the NFL and NBA are just as bad. Doesn't make it right, but still.
