I'm just using dry wit or needling someone in a good-natured way.

To get this back on track, I've always thought that trolling was intentionally trying to hurt or annoy people just for the fun of it.

The kind of thing that happened to this woman:

That is how I view it as well.

I'm with HC. And some people are professionals at it, like Ann Coulter and that Milo guy.

Dick is a semi-pro. Tries to finesse his trolling.

I woke up to a 7-page thread on trolling. Sad state right there.

To me, one characteristic of trolling is when a person responds multiple times in a thread, like addresses every single post as if it's intended for him or her.

If you're sitting there stalking a thread so that you can respond, you're trolling.

If you contribute to a third or more of a thread that's gone multiple pages, you're trolling.

You also need a life, and I don't mean that as an insult. If you're someone who sits and ponders your comebacks, if you sit and wait for someone to post so that you can respond again, if you think every post is a comment on your own, then please step back for your own mental health.

I'm going far away from this thread again. Have a great day.

It's all about the gorgonzola, except if you're Jerry.
