Thanks to this great article I now know.

    This is the money paragraph...
A toilet is a common bathroom sanitation fixture typically consisting of a bowl, a hinged seat and lid and a handle for flushing. Toilets transport human excrement and toilet paper via water to a septic tank or a municipal sewage treatment facility. Of particular note for men is that women almost universally oppose the male tendency to leave the seat up after urinating. Toilets are not frequently used as beds or places of slumber.

I always had a pretty good idea of what constituted a toilet but I now know for sure.

It's a keeper for the reporter's clip file.

That's terrific. You have to have a sense of humor while reporting on stupid crimes.

Another one from the same reporter, Will Greenlee: Woman says her 'big breasts' hindered DUI test performance

It appears the other writers on this site lack Greenlee's sense of humor.

"What is a Toilet?" is a Jeopardy question.

The answer is "This is the place where Tiger Woods tells his friends to drink water."

The story also contains probably the first use of the word "latrine" since M*A*S*H went off the air ...

He should have interviewed Mr. Butters Scotch about the proper way to sit on the device.
