What happened to Gretzky's face?

I can't speak to the last 18 months to 2 years, because he hasn't been quite as accessible and frankly the team hasn't gotten that much coverage. But there was a period before that when he was pretty clearly inebriated during virtually every interaction with the press.

Over on one of the Tiger threads 21 mentioned how Gerald Posner looks these days.

I was flipping through the channels a while back and saw him. The change is stunning.

Yeah, it was pretty disappointing. Hope it's not an issue now, but I honestly have no idea.

He paid a visit to his wife's plastic surgeon.

    Looks fine here.

(I'm talking about the 2% sliver of the blonde to his right.)

I had the exact same reaction as ringer when I saw the "30 on 30" film. Didn't recognized Gretzky as the same guy who, admittedly, I last paid much attention to near the end of his playing days.

Curious if that Gretzky photo is from Ronald Reagan's pre-burial library service. I know he's smiling and there's plenty of natural light, but the background terrain is interesting. Reagan's final service was very late in the day. Maybe that's Gretzky's arrival.

Regardless, he looks a lot better in that photo than more recent ones.
