What does it take to become a K-12 teacher?

    93, what is the difference between teaching at a public and a private school? as far as money and the people you deal with.

    Whatever you do, don't get a degree from an online university. I thought it was impossible to get a teaching degree online, but my mom knows someone who did and is trying to get a job right now. My mom, who is recovering from surgery, recommended her as her long-term sub this fall, but the school won't even give her a second look b/c of the online thing.

    BYH, did the online program include field experience? I think that's the main thing schools want to see, if you actually do it in a classroom.
    Plus, everyone knows you go the online route to get your administrator's certification :)
