And more importantly, can it be used as justification to kill a preps guy?

I don't see why not. How can you have a deadline without a dead person?

That's what it seems like at my paper, Dan. We have all types of deadlines that people don't seem to care about. But most of those people have been here for at least five years, so i doubt they're going anywhere.

    That's sad, Riddick.

Meanwhile, those of us who pound it hard to make deadline every night will be the ones who drop dead early from a massive stroke or a heart attack. Probably right at deadline, thus making the word official.

My boss bitches if we don't hit deadline, but then he doesn't hold anyone accountable, either.

So fuck it. Deadlines are just suggestions.

  8. Wow, this thread sounds so familiar.

I'll kill your guy if you kill my guy.

We made it after all, so no deaths were needed.

    Till tomorrow...

Deadline is a deadline, so yes, it is pure justification to kill a preps guy, especially if is something you were banking on.

Wow, you'll last real long in this business if you believe that.

yeah, imagining you getting screwed and then you have to put the pieces together and trying to get something at the eleventh hour.
