    Target brand Mac and Cheese is pretty good. They've not fucked it up like Great Value and Kroger.

    In addition to stuff mentioned (TP, beer), my list:

    lip balm - the cheap stuff tastes like recycled motor oil
    hand lotion - cheap stuff feels like recycled motor oil
    sunscreen - cheap stuff is comedogenic
    foundation/concealer - cheap stuff doesn't blend well
    mascara - cheap stuff flakes

    A lot of this I'm not tied to a particular brand (I'll use L'Oreal or Neutrogena foundation), but I won't get the cheapest in existence (Jane or Wet 'n' Wild). Just not worth it.

    I also won't get cheap shoes if I plan to wear them for a while. Flip-flops are different.

    I buy all my shoes at Wal-Mart, including the $5 sandals I recently picked up on vacation. :D

    I got a $10 pair of tennis shoes at Wal-Mart in the spring. Still hanging in strong. My way of walking wears at the outer side heels of any shoe, so buying expensive is an utter waste.

    Quilted Northern TP and Cherry, Strawberry or Mint Chapstick. The rest I can go with just about anything. I even prefer offbrand cereal (Apple Spins, Marshmallow Mateys and Honey & Oat Bursts).

    One of my dads recently bought Target paper towels (I think) and the other asked him about it. He goes, "good, keep buying them." He really liked the quality.

    Used to be I was a brand name snob. I can't think of any brand names I MUST have now.
