He did defend it as true to the characters, didn't he? Passionately, if I remember. He's forgotten more about television than I'll ever know, but he's dead wrong about that.

  2. I think The Larry Sanders Show broke that ground 10 years prior

I don't think you have to be the absolute first to still qualify as ground-breaking.

The original Office debuted 2 years before Arrested Development.

For American TV it has its place, but Larry Sanders was a great pull.

I don't think Larry Sanders gets enough credit for how influential it was.

The only good takeaway from the wedding dance was the clips flashing to Jim and Pam getting married on the boat at Niagara Falls earlier in the day ... and then Jim's glance at the camera at the end.

Jeffrey Tambor can legitimately say he's starred on two of the five or so greatest television comedies.

Speaking of the camera POV, has any U.S. comedy used the first-person POV? I'm finally getting around to Peep Show, a hilarious and cringe-inducing British comedy, and seeing everything from the view of the characters makes for an interesting viewing experience. It's an aggressively awkward show at times, and it's literally made me turn away from the screen because a scene will be so awkward.

He's gone? Officially or just busy?

YGBFKM, Care Bear, and MC (for the most part) all gone in just the last couple of weeks. I missed DD's departure.

Officially, I believe. Not to speak out of school.

    Oh. Well that sucks.

    How'd I miss that?
