What Christmas stories is your paper running?

A year or so ago, we did a Christmas Day feature on a basketball player for a local college who was back in school playing ball after doing a tour of duty in Iraq. He'd been in Baghdad the previous Christmas, so the hook was him being home with his family (he had a wife and young child) for that particular year. In years past, we've done the All-Area football team on Christmas Day, but we pushed it back to the following weekend a couple of years ago.

The paper I used to work for did the same thing, all-area football.

The front page story was yet another homeless story.

We ran our local Athlete of the Year, followed the next day by Top Ten local stories of the year. Ate up plenty of space and gave readers something local when not a damn thing happened in town.

Out of curiosity, what caused his stroke?
