    Turn over his unused syringes to the nearest hospital, tithe to charity in perpetuity (an AIDs charity might be a good one), and stop treating people scornfully who must, because of their jobs, deal with him.

    The first two are possible, the last one, probably too much to ask without some life-changing experience. Barry is who he is. He doesn't need to win me over. Why should he?

    If he came out right now and said "I used every sort of steroid imaginable and quitting before a further sully the legacy of Henry Aaron" I still boo the motherfucker on the way out the door.

    He is a piece of shit and will forever remain a piece of shit.

    Stop at 754. Recognize Hank Aaron as the home run king with some sort of class and dignity and walk away from the game.
    That won't win me over, but it'd be a nice start.
