I always like these threads to find out about what some of the new gadgets out there are.

Curious what items people are asking for.

A full-body massage by Nina from Sprout while Laurie Berkner sits in the corner and plays her soothing songs.

I would be asking for the Fitbit Surge, but for some reason they're not putting it out in time for the holidays.

Only one thing: Gift cards to Guitar Center. I'm going to buy an acoustic and start teaching myself how to play.

The wife and I just bought our first house recently, so mostly asking for stuff that we need for maintenance/care, which for practical purposes will mean a lot of gift cards.

I just want their money. It's not like they have anything to spend it on.

My best friend is doing the same thing.

I'll never comprehend why anyone out of college would want to learn to play an instrument, but that's just me. :D

I am an avid guitar player and have been for a very long time.
The one thing I regret is not taking lessons.

I realize it is a different now because of all the intruction available on YouTube or with an Acoustic Guitar membership/subscription (which I recommend).
However, I still think direct, person-to-person lessons are the way to go when beginning.

I'm not exactly a beginner, though. I played a little bit in college, but never stuck with it. I think I know/remember enough that I may not need personal instruction. We'll see, though, based on how it comes along.
