    I'll start.

Some of the boxing writings of Kevin Mitchell I think are utterly tremendous.

A two part piece on Gerald McClellan and his fight with Nigel Benn is one of the best pieces of work I have ever read. It is extracted from a book Mitchell wrote called, “War Baby”. Part one deals with the fight itself and what McClellan was like as a boxer, and person, prior to meeting Benn. Part two is centred around Mitchell meeting McClellan several years later.

    Part 1.

    Part 2.

Some other tremendous pieces by Kevin Mitchell are...

"Hearns blind to sands of time as past glories are sullied by events at the Palace"

"Listen to the dreams of fighters"

    "Bruno and me."

That barehanded catch he made in left running toward the foul line was tremendous as well.

This is always a good thread, but we have it every two months or so. May want to simply read this old one.
