What a weird couple of days

Sorry, it was late and I could have made myself clearer.

Typically on a Friday we might have 6 pages, but maybe no more than 4.

Saturday, usually 6, with a 12-page tab on top of that.

So, instead of 10 to 12 pages to fill over two days, we had 18.

Indeed, we are running two live (ROP, i.e., run of press) sections, with news in one and sports in the other. Features and classifieds are a preprint.

No complaints at all about having more work to do, especially in the aforementioned environment or declining news hole.

It was just odd, that's all.

Thanks for the clarification. I bow in waterytart's general direction.

That was fun for a while, like figuring out CB radio jargon back in the day.

I hope your fingers have stopped bleeding.

Reading the thread after I left was like a deleted scene from the Life of Brian:

    "Blessed are the Cheesemakers."

huh, i would've guessed the vast majority of people would know what r.o.p. is. maybe it's the difference in what is taught today in j school and in the jurassic time of my college days.

I've noticed out paper is bigger too these days -- our ad folks must be doing something right -- I haven't had this many pages to fill since I started this job in 2006 ... but of course we're in a recession ...
