Michael Moore acts like an asshole? That's never happened before.

I think it is pretty obvious that it is hard to go from being a killer to a family man trying to adjust. He probably exaggerated things to make himself feel important.

That would make him like every other human who ever lived.

Yes. Most of us boast of picking off 30 people from the roof of a football stadium.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but thematically, it sounds like it has a lot in common with "The Hurt Locker."

Did they include in the movie the scene from the book where he says he landed in Bosnia, and had to dash across the tarmac to avoid sniper fire, when in reality, he was met by a welcoming party that included children with flowers?

They did supposedly cut the part where he beat the Kenyans' asses in a marathon.

He should have just said that "Scruff Face" was a composite character.

Once you develop a composite character, you can make up any interaction with them you want.

I'm curious to see the part where his family flees from Castro's Cuba.

Come on, YF. You've been first, second, and third in line to discredit the Rolling Stone fiasco and how it is being spun.

What makes this guy and his piles of bullshit so untouchable?

Nothing. Haven't read the book, or seen the movie.

I just think its funny how upset certain folks are about this one movie not being 100% accurate.

Well, someone is being elevated to folk hero when the truth is a lot more complicated. It's not different than the myth-making in sports in the '40s and '50s. Now our heroes are soldiers, though.
