    That photo, and the lede graf of that story, all by themselves, sum it up.

    Great stuff, journalistically. Horrible stuff, in terms of humanity.

    I'll be honest, it made me think of the fifth season of The Wire, with the reporter getting major props for his (fabricated) homeless scoops.

    Obviously this is no fake, though it's hard to swallow that there would be time for inspection and photographs by laymen without emergency workers or cops called to the scene. The Detroit reporter is a fellow who left a booming career in New York to go back home or something, isn't he?
