Slap, I've never lived south of St. Louis, so I honestly have no clue.

I do know that the Gophers were the national champions in 1934, though.

What, just because they've sucked for 50 years, people want to poach their titles from when they were good? That's just mean.

And fanboy loosers who belong at FellateTheTide.com coming here and telling people how to post irritates me.

Did we just go through a fanboi influx or something?

at 10-0 in 1934, yeah, I can see where they'd claim a title; much as Auburn would be correct in claiming the Eufaula Tribune's title a few years ago when it went 13-0 and didn't win the title.
The 9-2 mark in 1941 has no credibility.

For the record - the FireCoachNickSaban.com is not run by a Dolphin fan.

Doesn't matter! We have 12! The T-shirts say it is so! Don't disagree with me!

I lived in Alabama for the first 22 of my 26 years, and I hold a degree from the university. I have no idea how many of those national football championships are legit. I just know the Tide has yet to win the BCS.

I want my alma mater to win, but championships aren't everything to me. I'm proud of where I'm from, and I'm proud to say that I'm educated on my own dime. It's enough.

For what it's worth, Bama finishes 8-4 at best and third in the SEC West.

I've written sports online at multiple outposts for years, and trust me -- NO college-program analysis raises as many instant editors from the dead as does Alabama football.

    Not even Notre Dame.

    Not even close.

    I laughed at that...
