    No need to even talk about Cincy. Management is clueless, and Dusty has simply been enabled to pull manager-size checks for a coupla more years.

    I was going to say that the perfect storm here would be if he dies on his birthday, but that would sound like I'm wishing for him to die.

    As an aside, is all the hate for him here simply a matter of professional jealousy?

    I would like to commend the Reds on their choice of a manager.

    And you can pencil Aaron Harang in for Tommy John Surgey in late 2008.

    Between the Times owning the Red Sox and Rhoden now the biggest Reds fan in sports journalism, readers of The New York Times will have to look elsewhere for coverage of the local teams.
