Amazing how there's no outcry, no handwringing, nothing. Read this with Dave McKenna's great piece on the 'Skins and Snyder's co-opting of the DC media:

A craft that once viewed itself as a calling with ethics and standards and balls and an idea of itself as being somehow more than just a job (and, yes, some of this was self-justifying BS) will no doubt continue to bend over -- WITHOUT EVEN DEBATING IT. What IS journalism now?

I get it. We allowed the wall to come down between business and editorial -- hello, LA Times -- but now the stampede is on. That "higher calling" stuff? Easy to think that while insulated by 25% profit margins, I guess. But I'm stunned that it has changed so fast, and all memory of that "mission" just....went away.

Dave's story doesn't even mention Danny Boy's radio shenanigans. That's a story unto itself.

A cautionary tale for other markets to say the least. The only reason it hasn't happened in Dallas is Jerry Jones doesn't give a shit what they write about him as long as they do write about him, period.
