Just harmful innuendo laid on by a guy who wasn't able to do his job as well as Carroll and who might be a bit jealous and bitter because Carroll's players have turned the leprechaun into USC's bitch.

What I love is during that interview, he makes the perfectly reasonable point that while he was willing to take the slings and arrows, comments about him hurt his wife and children. And then he drops a turd that Pete might be able to handle, but would deeply wound Pete's wife and kids. Yeesh.

 

Charlie is neither human nor intelligent enough to understand the power of empathy.
