How the hell did Paterno put up with this punk?

I'm guessing Johnson's father acted as a buffer. He was an assistant coach on Paterno's staff at the time. Not that it stopped Johnson from ripping on the Penn State coaching staff while he was there.

    This thread is a riot

About 64 flavors of ignorance on display here, with jingly-shoed court jesters there to make it all strangely worthwhile.

More on the congressional hearings on the subject of brain injuries in the NFL. I knew Merill Hoge had to be hospitalized after his second concussion in 1994, his first year with the Bears. I didn't realize it was so bad that his heart actually stopped for a few seconds.

Yes. He called into question the fact that Haley has never played football on any sort of level. And he made fun of Haley for playing golf in college. What the hell did Johnson think was going to happen? Nobody should be allowed a twitter account except Ochocinco.

Tampa Bay morning radio show host suspended after suggesting that the Glazer family might be hurting financially. The station is the Bucs' flagship. Nobody's saying the Glazers didn't tell the station to suspend him.

Very tough talk from another card-carrying member of the lucky sperm club.

There are about 300,000,000 Manchester United fans who might be interested in what this guy is saying.

This Greatest Fourth Quarters show is awesome. Delivers every week.

This is the kind of stuff ESPN Classic could and should be doing.

The Mayor of Green Bay will not be ignored!

GREEN BAY - At the urging of numerous Green Bay Packers fans, Mayor Jim Schmitt renamed Green Bay's Minnesota Avenue, a short road on the east side between the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary and the Bay of Green Bay. The Packers take on the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field this Sunday in a highly anticipated rematch.

The street is now Aaron Rodgers Drive.

Schmitt said he went to Rodgers' home Wednesday night to get his number 12 jersey signed, and brought the sign with him to show to the Packers quarterback.

That's exactly what I thought the mayor of Green Bay would look like. Uncanny.
