Terrell Suggs thinks Roger Goodell had a hand in the Super Bowl blackout.

Broncos at Cowboys should be the Thanksgiving Day game. Really, mates, it's not that hard.

You ever try to draw up a 16-game schedule for 32 teams?

Some parts are harder than others. Start with having the champions play on the opening night. Thanksgiving is one of your biggest draws, so try putting a marquee matchup there if possible (Dallas HAS to play an AFC team, for example).

I really like Mizzougrad's suggestion that the final three games of the season be against opponents from your division.

    Other tips:

When playing a double round-robin within the division, play one of the games before Halloween and the other at the end of the season. None of this meeting twice within three weeks. Teams change over the course of the season and the team you see in September may be radically different from the one you get in December.

No night games in cold weather markets after Nov. 15. At the prices fans are paying now, we don't need to freeze our asses off to watch a game that can easily start at 1 p.m.

Teams playing on Thursday night are ones coming off byes. Ideally, all the byes should come in division alignments, so this would result in a lot of division matchups, which often produce the best games.

If a team is forced to play three consecutive road games at some point, try to give them three consecutive home games at some other point.

No Sunday night game during the guaranteed World Series Sunday. If they must, be sure to pick two cities that do not have baseball teams. Don't want, say, the Red Sox and Patriots playing at the same hour.

Maximum of four night games (or Thanksgiving) and minimum of three weeks between appearances.

These tips provided at no charge. :) Have a nice season. :)

The whole Josh Freeman saga has led to the inescapable conclusion that the Bucs' coach, GM and probably a half-dozen other people in the front office should be fired immediately and never allowed to work in sports again. What a mess.

In your opinion, if you had to pick the best team in the NFL right now, who would it be? Seahawks or Broncos?

Hard to choose. Broncos have the offense, Seahawks have the better road win. Doesn't much matter.

Tough to tell since Miller will be added to Denver soon and Harvin to Seattle.

    Harvin's coming back soon?

Denver or New Orleans are the best teams. Denver gets the edge as the best overall team.

So a Houston restaurant is offering a "Pick Six" burger in honor of Matt Schaub:

Interesting, I'd take the Seahawks over NO right now. Seahawks are really banged up and should get better as tehy get healthier. If they don't get Okung back none of this matters as they aren't going to superbowl without him.
