    Steelers have shit the bed at Oakland against far crappier Raider squads.

    This is truth. As defending champions, they gave the Raiders one of their two glorious wins on the Art Shell Revival Tour in 2006.

    LeSean McCoy: “I’ll be honest, they’re like fans. One of the refs was talking about his fantasy team, like ‘McCoy, come on, I need you for my fantasy,’ ahhh, what?!”

    This thing is spiraling. I love it.

    Dont' forget Dieter Brock/Montana

    Steelers/Raiders used to be oh so fun, Stabler/Belitnikoff/Branch/Casper v. the Steel Curtain; Bradshaw/Harris/Swann v. Hendricks/Tatum/Hayes/Brown.

    Jets v. Dolphins; Marino v. O'Brien;

    Too bad.

    Even Niners v. Vikings used to be Anthony Carter leading the upset over the Niners; Steve Young running without his helmet; Now its Ponder v. Smith.

    Packers v. Seahawks; if the Seahawks can block Matthews, they have a chance because I think they can run on the Packers.

    Incredible. I cannot even comprehend the stupidity behind that statement.

    Green Bay gets 11 days between games. I like their chances.

    Atlanta? Not so much.

    Denver will bounce back at home and knock off Houston.

    And Baltimore will beat New England to drop the Patriots to 1-2. (NE will still win its division, though.)

    That one was all Roethlisberger. The Steelers rushed him back after the motorcycle accident and the appendectomy and he was horrible for a big chunk of that season. Roethlisberger threw for 301 yards in that game, but two of his four interceptions were returned for touchdowns.

    Pittsburgh was also the defending champion when the Steelers lost to the Raiders in 2009. That was part of a brutal losing streak when the defense just kept blowing leads late in games.
