The schedule is all but pre-set except for a few conference games, dumbass.

But when you win a division, you're given a tougher schedule, correct? Isn't that how Indy and NE ended up playing year after year after year?

Another 2-team teaser option: Atlanta (-7) and Miami (+3).

There are two games a year that are determined by that -- you play the corresponding place of the two conference divisions that you're not playing everybody. It used to be more but it changed about 10 years ago. For the Skins, that means since they're playing the whole NFC North, they play the #1 teams in the West and South.

In this case that's San Francisco and Atlanta. Those are two doozies, granted. By finishing second they would have matched up with Seattle and Carolina.

Correct. At one time, it made a pretty large impact on the schedule, but that hasn't been the case for awhile now.

Yeah. I knew at least a couple games were determined by last year's finish. Given the Skins' recent troubles with Seattle and Carolina, I'm not sure that'd be much better than SF and Atlanta. Either way, a bitch of a schedule.

Oh, and make sure to tease Green Bay and San Diego.

RG is an incredible hype machine, he's 10th-14th best QB in the league, at best. You have to take Luck, Kaep & Wilson ahead of him of the young QBs. The Mannings, Brees, Rodgers, Brady, Flaco. Brqadford, Stafford and Tannehill? They're better than an immobile RG. Vick looked very good Monday. Right now he's not much of an option runner. He can scramble but few if any designed runs will be called. He can throw the short pass from the pocket but he's not a solid threat to go deep, yet, so the safeties can cheat in a step or two and you can overload the middle of the d-line because you don't have to have an OLB shadow him.
He's going to wear that brace all year and he's not going to regain his quickness AND speed until next year.
Given that this is his 2nd ACL surgery and probably the 2nd time they've done a tendon graft he's going to be suffering some serious tendonitis and general knee soreness as the season progresses. He won't practice as if he wasn't injured and his timing will be off all season long, especially on the deep balls.

The difference between finishing first and second isn't usually that huge. It's not like playing Seattle is much easier than playing San Francisco...

Where it makes the difference is with the teams that finish last and get to play the Raiders instead of the Broncos or the Jaguars instead of the Texans.

Agree, Popcorn king. The Philly offense — and its rapid pace — is different than all the other versions of no-huddle, spread offense in the NFL. If Kelly and company can continue to succeed with it, you'll be seeing your team run it by the end of the season.

The Washington defense was gassed. About time for teams to start faking injuries ... ;)
