Week 17 NFL: The seeding thread

The NFL Network is the worst place for highlights.

 

Weird.

 

I suppose I can understand not wanting to play, but how do they make you like the actual sport less?

 

Because it's everywhere. Highlights, commentary, conversations with friends, stupid jokes littered throughout. And it really has very little to do with real teams trying to win real games.

I feel the same way about point spreads. I don't care if a team "covers" if it doesn't involve actually winning.

 

Before the Internet I used to really get pissed at the number of calls we got in the office from fantasy players asking for stats. On NFL Sunday nights I had more important things to do as far as getting my work done to be looking up stats for fantasy football geeks. I don't know that I enjoy real sports less, but I sure don't care for fantasy sports geeks talking about "their" team -- particularly when they're pulling for players going against the home teams in my area.

 

I was going to post that and change "cloud" to "fantasy" but didn't have the energy to break out photoshop.

 

Stop it, guys. You guys are hurting Mr. Sunshine feelings.
