    Alex Smith just threw a ball over a defender, to a target more than 10 yards beyond the line of scrimmage.

    Strange days indeed.

    I'd never root for a player to get injured, but I'm pleased I won't have to see any more of Jimmy Graham's look-at-me charades this season. You'd think no other receiver in the league ever caught a 15-yard pass for a first down.

    I wouldn't want to go any further than this, but Osweiler looks like he might be at least an adequate to competent NFL QB. That's a pretty big scalp to take in your second career start.
