I hate to say it, but I agree with Simon on this one.

 

I don't know Vaughn McClure, but I'm now positive that he posts here. This article was clearly written to bait me:

There's a counterpoint column on CBSSportsline saying that Lovie Smith is responsible for the defense's failures because, you know, he's the guy in charge of it. I think it was Clark Judge arguing that idea. He obviously has no idea what he's talking about. He also calls out Cutler, too, but says he's more disappointed in Lovie's performance as coach.

 

They make such a compelling case, too.

Oh no, they don't. They just state their argument and let it go at that.

 

You needed graphs and charts and shit, right, R2?

 

I'd like something a little more compelling than "he calls the defenses so it must be his fault."

If it's as simple as that, why do teams waste so much time trying to get good players?
