Week 12 NFL Thread (come up with your own stupid name)

Action starts early with three games on Turkey Day:

*Cowboys-Raiders: Can Oakland pull off another upset of a Division leader?
*Lions-Packers: Green Bay should have no trouble with this one, although playing at home on the holiday and coming off a wild win, maybe Detroit can make a game of it.
*Giants-Broncos: Denver really needs a win, but I think New York will be too much to handle.

Steelers-Ravens looks to be the only decent Sunday game.

How about the Tyler Palko versus his former back-up week? Sort of......

Love how the Lions and Raiders are both going into their Thanksgiving Day games coming off wins.

I'd love to see them both win again, but those are long odds.

I just hope the Broncos can get their shit together so the night matchup is a good game. Otherwise, there's a chance we'll have three crappy games.

This thread should be named after Lynn Dickey's iron leg.

I had a stupid name, but YGBFKM was taken.

So then I took Jay Cutler.

I had a stupid name, but decided to make it less stupid by changing it to Pride.

For my stupid name, I suggest Week 12 NFL Thread: Crossed Garretts of Death.

Um, Monday nite game with Patriots at Saints will be somewhat intriguing.

Hate to defend the guy after he was too lazy to come up with a proper thread title, but he did say Steelers-Ravens was the only decent Sunday game, not the only decent one of the week.

I was simply making a "first reference" to the game of the week.

Gotcha. That is the best game of the week. Two of the top teams in the league. Brady vs. Brees. Indoors, so no potential weather issues to get in the way. Should be a track meet with those two offenses and those defenses, especially with how banged up the Saints are.

Steelers-Ravens has become a fantastic rivalry. The loser of this one is in big trouble just making the playoffs. Zag is right. Tyler Palko supposedly is going to sign with the Steelers just in time to watch them face his one-time Pitt back-up, Joe Flacco.

Looks like Ben Roethlisberger is going to play despite the mild concussion he suffered against the Chiefs Sunday. The Steelers' piss-poor history with concussions was brought up on the previous thread, though the team medical staff has been approved by the player's union even under the league's new regulations regarding upgrading the use by its teams of neurological specialists.

Kurt Warner also could play one week after suffering a concussion, pending a "baseline test" today.
