The sad part about Muschamp failing at USC is that it's a fan base a lot like Iowa, K-State, West Virginia, Pitt or Syracuse. Go 7-5 or 8-4, mix in an occasional 10-2 and go to a lot of Outback, Gator and Belk bowls, and by and large those folks are happy.

Add Wyoming-Utah State to the cancelled list. A no contest, per the Mountain West.

    Louisiana-Central Arkansas spiked.
    Houston-SMU spiked.

Rising number of cases within Utah State program, per Wyo release.

AP’s Ralph Russo reports that Colorado might be looking for a game with a Mountain West team. Gonna have to get both leagues to sign off, but it’s a convenient road trip.

Pac-12 likely to reverse course, allow non-conference football games

Anybody scoring at home should be too busy to pay attention to this stuff.

When the Dodgers and Giants went to the West Coast in 1958, Phillies play by play man By Saam made the team's first night game against the Dodgers memorable by saying, "for those of you at home scoring in bed, that double play was 3-6-1."

NJIT isn’t in the ASUN anymore. They moved to the same league as UMBC and Vermont. American East maybe?

Southland is falling apart. Big reason is covid exposed some serious flaws in the league structure and caused some battle lines to be drawn.

The small college rumor mill is running hot and I’ve heard that there’s some D2 schools thinking hard about making a move and all of them would be in the ASUN footprint.

Good stuff. I didn't realize NJIT had escaped. The ASun did save them and at least get them out of the independent ranks, but they make no sense there any more. Nor does Liberty, truth be told, and I think most of the ASun would be thrilled to be rid of the Flames, not just because of the ideological issues. Liberty is on par with schools like VCU and ODU when it comes to spending and facilities. Stetson and North Florida didn't sign up to compete with that.
