Reed had already lost his starting job before this. He's shot.

If you're a Broncos fan, I think you'd take the 35 points they scored last January and dare Alex Smith to score more.

    Of course, he probably will.

Yeah, you hate to see a guy like Reed go out like this...

There's a coach up this way who has a severe mancrush on Reed and has a fondness for picking up veterans on the cheap.

My guesses would be 49ers or Patriots... Isn't Reed tight with Marvin Lewis? I might be thinking of someone else...

Didn't the Texans pay a pretty decent amount for Reed? For some reason, I'm remembering a 2-year $10 million deal. Even if the second year wasn't guaranteed that's still a lot for a guy who did so little this season.

Surprised that no one has yet mentioned "throwback " weekend in Pittsburgh vs The Lions.

This year The Steelers will be sportin the '34 model.

I know we're past the halfway point of the season, but which teams do people think will make the playoffs?

NFC, I think it will be

    Division winners
    Seahawks
    Lions
    Saints
    Eagles

    Wild Card
    Niners
    Panthers

    AFC

    Division winners
    Broncos
    Colts
    Patriots
    Bengals

    Wild card
    Chiefs
    Ravens

I hope I'm wrong about the Ravens. I would love the Jets to make it, but I don't think they will...

Jets have a soft schedule over the final 7. Going 4-3 to make them 9-7 is possible and if they somehow go 5-2, they will get in.

Of course, I think they end 6-10.

All that's left up in the air are the 6 seeds, right?

Chicago, Green Bay, and Carolina in the NFC.
Baltimore and New York in the AFC.
