Obviously Packers/49ers and Falcons/Saints will be big games, but the Cardinals/Rams and Vikings/Lions are the "Wish I Had Sunday Ticket" games of the week. Divisional battles with teams that are trying to be taken seriously.

Oddly enough - Dallas/Giants doesn't really interest me. Eagles/Redskins however, does.

    Cardinals/Rams, huh?

    Odd.

I'm guessing they could move some stuff around if they had a NFL game for a Saturday night right before Christmas. I'm guessing that would get better ratings than a Texans-Chargers game that starts at 10:30.

Both should be improved, but yeah, that's not exactly a marquee game.

There are potentially several very good games this weekend.

Chiefs @ Jaguars or Cardinals @ Rams will not be one of them.

Also NFL Network has those Saturdays, so no way is ESPN getting one.

The kickoff doubleheader is actually a pretty good idea and usually a pretty good game, even if only half the country sees it. Gonna be a lot of coffee drinking in Houston on Tuesday morning though, what with the 9 p.m. CT start.

Saints-Falcons, Redskins-Eagles, Cowboys-Giants, Ravens-Broncos, Packers-49ers are all pretty good games... Seattle vs. Carolina and Chicago vs. Cincy are both pretty good as well...

I don't think they still have them. I thought the Thursday night games got rid of those...

It doesn't matter. It's not getting changed...

a 9 pm start is a killer for newspaper deadlines.

When I was growing up, we had Monday night games in the final week every year. A little inconvenient, but it can be done.

Both will be much improved, I think the Rams could be a ten win team.
