Bottom line: If you wear it on your right hand or the other various places suggested on this thread, it will still mean whatever you feel it means to you. The empty space on your left hand will imply, to the vast majority of people you encounter, that you are unmarried.

Whether you care or not, that's up to you and your future wife.

Except if people know he *is* married. Then they are left to wonder why. Yes, they might ask, which could get annoying...

Or... my whole point was... I'd worry more about the people who know he's married and DON'T ask. Then he opens himself up to people jumping to the wrong conclusions. That's all I was sayin'.

Good luck, Schiez. You seem like a fine fella. :)

What about toe wedding bands? We live in a tropical climate and usually wear sandals...

I never wear my ring and never get asked why?

That's a fluke. Almost everyone is reading people's hands for signals about their marriage status.

    Are you always so disingenuous?

As someone who's been married for all of two weeks, I don't think I could function with a ring on my right hand.
I'm having trouble getting adjusted to one on my left.

The only problem I have with wearing my wedding ring is my pinky knocks into it all the time. I broke my pinky playing basketball when I was 19 and it moves two ways, directly into my ring finger and an awkward bending motion, because I don't have a fine control over it.

That's what you get for choosing the finger-roll over the dunk.:)
